Always, always ask

January 31st, 2018 at 01:16 pm

DH and I are both movie rewards members at a local theater. We each get a free movie on our birthday. Since our birthdays are only a few weeks apart, we wait to go together. Well, time got away from us with everything that's been happening (more on that soon), and my reward expired.

I decided to reach out to them and ask for a few more days to use it, so that we could go this week. DH's expires in a few days, so we knew we'd definitely do it this week.

To my extreme surprise, they not only added the reward back in with an expiration of 2/28, but they also credited me a free popcorn. What incredible customer service!

So, tonight is date night. DH and I both still struggle with the loss of our dog along with some other changes on the horizon, so it'll be a nice little escape. Two movie tickets and a small popcorn is at least $25 in my area, so I will transfer that over to savings.

Grief, even for a pet, is real. I know that you did everything you could to give your dog a great life. Be comforted in that fact. Enjoy your movie!

How nice they gave you the movie and a popcorn besides! This is one case where loyalty pays.

Would you consider giving a new dog a forever home? There are so many shelter animals that desperately need one. I know you will never forgot your dog, but getting a new pet really helps focus your attention on the now.
