I should have done this sooner...

I recently mentioned how I felt my family was holding me back in my journey. My biggest frustration with this isn't the one-off loans, but rather the phone bill. My phone bill is currently about 200/month for four lines for my immediate family. It's been like this for years and is something I've just always accepted. Recently, though, I've been trying to figure out how to cut back this expense. This past week, I'm very happy to announce that we switched to the mobile share plan and cut the bill to 135/month. Much better and I get to keep att which we're all partial to Smile

    Awesome job! What a great feeling! Now, some friendly advise that I happened to implement this month...after cutting about $50.00 per month from my cable bill (I took my plan from 150 channels to local TV only (5 total channels) and then invested in Netflix for $8.00/month), I immediately budgeted that $50.00 toward the pre-payment of principal of my mortgage each month. Although $600.00 per year does not sound like a lot, trust me, ammortized over 30 years, I am going to keep a tidy sum of money in my pocket versus the mortgage lender's. The long and the short of it, reinvest that monthly phone savings. Let it work for you versus you for it!
