2nd Chances

I posted a review about my experience at the vet on Yelp. They reached out to me today and have credited the remainder of the office visit back to me. Since they reached out to me and made it right, I've decided to give them a second chance as SO's pets have all gone here their entire lives. SO will be taking DC in this Thursday.

I'm not liking all the spending this month, but this has been an abnormal month with DD and DC joining us and SO's income not quite leveling out yet. Hopefully, in the coming months, I'll see some real progress on some of my goals.

    Jazzy, good on you for taking action which resulted in a rebate from the vet's office. It's important for your fur babies too. While attempting to be helpful, I guess I come across as aggressive but I don't wish to suggest approaching a problem a negative attitude, It's much easier to get what you want with the 'spoonful of sugar than vinegar.' However, it is important to set out a reasonable statement of fact so that the other person understands your view of the situation and what you need to 'make it right,' So many issues occur when others upset our innate sense of fairness.

    Snafu, I don't think you came off that way. I have come to value your opinion quite a bit and always appreciate when you weigh in! Speaking up has always been one of those things that I need to work on, and I did try. It's just when she brushed me off, I got flustered and just gave up instead of continuing to stand my ground. I was really grateful they saw the review and took the time to make it right. As I mentioned, SO's pets have been going there all their life, and they've never had a problem. I'm hoping DC's visit will go much smoother.
